Mama Ngina Botathon #10, held on May 19–20, 2025, empowered 49 students through masterclasses, a panel session, and a competitive hackathon. Co-hosted by THiNK and Mama Ngina University, the event advanced AI learning, ethical tech, and innovation—onboarding 45 students to the Community of Practice.
We participated in the Safety by Design training sessions, where our efforts were recognized for championing safe and responsible AI. Through our collaboration with KEBS, we pioneered conversations on AI regulation and contributed to the development of the DKS 3007 Kenya Code of Practice, now adopted as an ARSO standard.
At the 7th Students’ National Economics Symposium 2025, the KUESA KU Symposium Chatbot, developed under THiNKiT: Bot of Bots by Tech Innovators Network – THiNK, transformed attendee engagement. Providing instant access to schedules, logistics, guidelines, and contacts, it gained 200+ downloads, earning praise as a game-changer for event accessibility.
On 19th March 2025, the Tech Innovators Network – THiNK hosted a vibrant Community Demo Day, showcasing groundbreaking projects from innovators across our ecosystem. The event fostered collaboration, inspired new ideas, and highlighted the power of community-driven innovation in shaping inclusive, tech-enabled solutions for real-world challenges.
The #9 Botathon at Strathmore University on March 14, 2025, brought together 8 diverse students for hands-on sessions on RAG, Git, and coding best practices, and introduced THiNK’s Community of Practice. The interactive event fostered collaboration, learning, and engagement with emerging AI technologies.
Our AI forum offers networking opportunities, knowledge sharing, professional development, collaboration prospects, access to resources, contributions to the advancement of AI in Africa, and a supportive community.
